The first themed land you encounter as you enter DLP is Main Street, U.S.A. You are catapulted back in time to early 1900's as you walk through the turnstiles, under the Disney Railroad and into the twon square. Usually a hub for character meet and greets, main street dancers and with the Sleeping Beauty castle in the distance, Main Street U.S.A. really gives guests a treat and an opener for what is to come at DLP.
Smells of candyfloss, motor oil, popcorn and the ambient music which is played in the background really sets the scene. Relaxing yet busy and hectic, Main Street houses many shops, eateries and hidden secrets just waiting to be explored. Attractions in Main Street, U.S.A include:
Disneyland Railroad Station...
As guests exit the turnstiles they come across Main Street Railroad Station as they walk under it before reacing the Town Square. From here guests can ride the train all around the Disneyland Park, as it completes its circuit from one themed land to another. Starting at Main Street, U.S.A the train then travels to Frontierland, through Adventureland where it comes to its next stop in Fantasyland, then onto Discoveryland, before finally reaching the end of its circuit back at Main Street. The full circuit takes approximately 30 minutes, plus additional time at each station when the train stops to allow guests to board and disembark.
Horse Drawn Streetcars...
